James Glover Youth Pastor
My walk with God has been nothing short of interesting. He ALWAYS shows up in my life. I have always known there is a God and who Jesus Christ is, but I didn’t KNOW Him. I didn’t have any sort of relationship with Him.
My first steps with the Lord occurred while I was in basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. Feeling a bit empty, I began reading this green camouflaged New Testament that the local church gave me where I was attending service.
Fast forward to a short time later, my wife and I started attending church in Red Bluff. We both wanted to follow Jesus and we were baptized together! As time progressed we continued to learn more about Him.
However, I got lost because I did not have someone to mentor or disciple me. I began to drift away and backslide. Ultimately I took my wife with me. It was during this time that my dad passed away. In my grief, I not only questioned why God took him, I also began questioning everything including my faith.
I poured through various religious texts while researching other religions. All this curiosity led me right back to The Bible, God’s true Word.
On more than a few occasions, I have felt like I have been the prodigal son. However, in the midst of all that research, deep down I have always known in my heart of hearts that Jesus was there, calling and prompting me to do the Kingdom work He has called me to do, to magnify Him, and increase His glory.
Jesus Christ is now in every decision, thought, and action I make. I am excited to be a part of the PC3 ministry team, and am looking forward to see the exciting adventures He has for us as we work to grow His kingdom by being obedient to sharing our faith and mentoring others.
